Producer GR is to file a complaint against censor officer Madhiyazhagan
The board refused to certify his production venture 'Kadhali Kaanavillai' as a straight Tamil film.
Producer-turned-actor GR is to file a complaint against censor officer Madhiyazhagan, and Gangai Amaran who is in the revising committee, because both of them refused to certify his production venture Kadhali Kaanavillai as a straight Tamil film. GR claims that he has all the documents and evidence needed to prove that the film has been made as a bilingual in Tamil, titled Kadhali Kaanavillai and in Kannada as Bhishma.
Says GR, “I got the Censor Certificate in Sandalwood, and when I applied for it in the Tamil version Kadhali Kaanavillai, the RCB here declined saying it is not a straight Tamil film, and that it is the dubbed version of Kannada Bhishma. I applied again to the revising committee where Gangai Amaran sir watched the film. Even as he was halfway through it, he walked out refusing a Censor Certificate and did not hear my explanation with valid documents! So, I have no choice, but to file a case against both of them in court.”
