A french wonder
The event was jointly organised by Alliance Fran§aise Hyderabad, Krishnakriti 2018 and HICC in partnership with Bonjour India.
Wednesday evening saw a huge gathering of the city’s art and music lovers at HICC. Hakanaï, a unique 40-minute solo performance linked digital and performing arts to enthrall the audience. The event was jointly organised by Alliance Française Hyderabad, Krishnakriti 2018 and HICC in partnership with Bonjour India, a French institute and the French Embassy in India.
The solo performance by Priyabrata Panigrahi was choreographed by French dancer Virginie Barjonnet, who also put the entire show together with live animation based on physical movements set against an original music score played live. Initially filled with an alphabetical maze, a digital cube evolved into a black-and-white cage structure or a room obliterated with the projections of constellations right in front of the audience’s eyes.
The performance, conceived by Adrien Mondot and Claire Bardainne, was the perfect exploration of fragility, insecurity and human condition.
