Indian teen's hyper-realistic drawings will make you do a double take
These sketches are so realistic that you'll be tempted to reach out your hand just to be sure.
You might have heard about how art imitates life. Well, sometimes this imitation is so perfect that you’ll find it nearly impossible to distinguish between the two. Nineteen-year-old Indian artist Sushant S Rane can make sketches of objects that look so realistic that you’ll be tempted to reach out your hand just to be sure.
Rane uses simple tools like pencils, colours and sketch pens to draw everyday objects so well that they look like the real thing. As this kind of perfection requires deep dedication, he ends up spending an entire day to make each drawing.
He also runs an Instagram page that allows fans to observe every stage of the laborious creative process. What’s even more impressive is the fact that Rane has never been to some fancy art school but is a completely self-taught hyperrealist artist.
