The book also highlights the setbacks he had to overcome while pursuing his dream.
Bengaluru: Running into CNR Rao, the legendary scientist, who missed a Nobel Prize by a whisker this year was enough of a surprise. But when the Bharat Ratna award winner let out that he was all set to release his first book, that was... well, an eye-opener.
Talking exclusively to Deccan Chronicle, Prof Rao, holding the first copy of his book – A Life in Science, said, “People ask me what I’ve done all these years pursuing science. In this book I have tried to answer that question.”
Having published over 1,630 research papers and written or edited over 50 books, the eminent scientist has chronicled his journey of becoming a scientist in his latest book. It contains his rare photos, inspirations, and anecdotes from his early life.
The book also highlights the setbacks he had to overcome while pursuing his dream. He has earlier published many books, including Understanding Chemistry, Climbing the Limitless Ladder: A Life in Chemistry and Nanocrystals: Synthesis, Properties and Applications, among others.
