Acid attack survivor to be depicted as female superhero in Indian comic book

Priya’s Shakti made history after its release as India’s first augmented reality comic book featuring the first female Indian superhero in June 2014. Now its second edition, Priya's Mirror, includes a pivotal character that happens to be an acid attack survivor.
The 36-page graphic novel is about the story of rape survivor Priya who teams up with an acid attack survivor in order to vanquish the demon king Ahankar. It will be available in five different languages: English, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian.
Priya’s Mirror will be revealed at the New York Film Festival and will also later be a part of the Mumbai comic con.
