Medak Diocese organises prayer meeting for world peace
Hyderabad: All heads of churches under the Medak Diocese of the Church of South India (CSI) gathered and prayed for world peace at the Diocese office in Secunderabad. It was anchored by Rev. John Jonathan, town DCC chairman.
The clergy explained some of the ongoing events in the world and related them to the prophecies in the Bible. The day-long event had the presence of Moderators Commissary, Rt. Rev. Dr. K. Padma Rao.
The prayer meeting featured intercessory prayers, scripture readings, hymns and messages emphasising the commitment to alleviate human suffering.
Sudesh Kumar, from Medak Diocese, explained, “these prayers are needed, as we are witnessing unpleasant events across the globe.”
The meeting also addressed the unrest in Israel. Rev. U. Daniel said, “we have placed our petition before God. He will bring peace to the world.”
