Governor, CM greet Muslims on Ramzan

VIJAYAWADA: Governor S. Abdul Nazeer conveyed his warm greetings to Muslim brethren in the state on the occasion of Ramzan, which will be celebrated on Saturday.

The Governor said Ramzan is a period of devotion, fasting, charity and self-accountability. It is a month of forgiving when every Muslim gets closer to God.

Nazeer said, “On the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, let us redeem our pledge to respect the dignity of all, the sanctity of life and solemnity of all faiths.”

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also conveyed his greetings for Ramzan.

In his message on Friday, the CM said Ramzan is known for harmony, fraternity, equality of all human beings, kindness and generosity. He expressed confidence that the festival will drive away ill-feeling and hatred from among human beings.
