Triveni Music Fest to Begin on January 5

Hyderabad: Triveni, a three-day music and dance festival from January 5 at Lalita Kala Thoranam, Public Garden, is all set to take Hyderabadis on a musical journey. All events kick off at 6 pm each day.

Organised by Surmandal in collaboration with the government’s department of culture, and Canara Bank, the inaugural evening features sitar and santoor recitals by local talents Shruti Katkuri and Shreeja Katkuri, accompanied by Vijay Kumar Panchal on tabla.

Ustad Taufiq Qureshi will grace the stage with a percussion melody on Djembe, while Pt Yogesh Samsi, Vid Satish Patri, and Tanmay Decochoke will showcase their mastery on the tabla, mridungam, and harmonium.

A vocal concert by Sniti Mishra will be supported by Ajeeth Pathak on the tabla and Rahul Deshpande on the harmonium. The highlight will be a sarod recital by the illustrious Pandit Shubendra Rao, accompanied by Pt Yogesh Samsi on the tabla.

The night concludes with a sarod recital by Pt Partho Sarothy Choudhary, accompanied by Kathak dance by PT. Rajendr Gangani, supported by Pt Fateh Singh Gangani on the tabla, Shivkrishna Swaroop on the violin, and Samiullah Khan on vocal.
