Met Gala's fashionistas!
Emma Watson outdid even herself with her sustainable Calvin Klein corset and pant-gown combination made of plastic and organic cotton.
This year’s Met Gala’s theme ‘Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology’ was the perfect set-up for innovation and haute couture. Amidst the usual, mostly boring metallic coloured outfits were some big hits and epic fails.
HITS: Nicole Kidman glowed in an outfit that transported us into outer space.
Emma Watson outdid even herself with her sustainable Calvin Klein corset and pant-gown combination made of plastic and organic cotton. Claire Danes won the night and the Internet with her Zac Posen gown that had fibre optics, transforming her into a glowing, ethereal creature.
MISSES: Sarah Jessica Parker seemed oblivious to the theme or the red carpet in culottes, frilly sleeves and her signature statement heels. We love the new goth Taylor Swift, but her outfit made us think of fish and Avril Lavigne, which isn’t necessarily a good thing.
SPECIAL MENTION: Only Beyoncé could walk onto the red carpet in embellished latex, be called ‘a condom’ and still look stunning!
