World's most pricey shoe is here
...and we're telling you where you can get a similar design for much less.
Whether you’re a self-confessed footwear fanatic or the trendsetter of your circle — there’s a pair of shoes that can truly set you apart. The only catch, it comes with a $17 million price tag.
Dubai-based Jada Dubai has just unveiled the latest in the luxury footwear — a shoe made of actual gold, silk and diamond, complete with a 15-carat flawless D-diamond that’s front and centre.
Meanwhile, for us lesser mortals — who don’t quite care about wearing real diamonds on our feet — don’t worry, we have you covered. You can find shoes that look almost exactly the same for a tiny fraction of the price right here in the city.
And we’re not talking roadside rip-offs either. You can find high-quality dupes at several branded stories for anything between Rs 800 and Rs 5,000. Meanwhile, MJ from Aldo says that metallic shoes are in great demand at the moment — especially with the festive season approaching. “Customers love gold and silver shoes with stone work done on them — especially during the festive season.”
Nisar, who works for Catwalk, agrees that metallic shoes have been around for a while, and they’re not likely to go anywhere. But if you have your heart set on the shoes being sold in Dubai, you can still have them. Zubair, an employee of Soles, promises that the design can be replicated using high-quality materials at the brand’s worship for just Rs 5000. “We can make them according to the customer’s demands and charge accordingly,” he says.
