Mehr Rampal hosts day 1 of Toile's eco-friendly fashion exhibit Versatile Vasudha
Designers showcasing new festive collection at pop up are affiliated with producing only sustainable and eco-friendly garments.
Mehr Rampal collaborated with eco-friendly fashion store- Toile in Mumbai for a fun evening filled with shopping and hors d'oeuvre. The event saw names like Adhuna Akhtar, Kim Sharma, Sonal Chauhan, Maheep Kapoor, Mandana Karimi, Anaita Shroff, Bhawna Pandey, Aastha Sharma, Madhu, Rhea Pillai and lots more, shopping the festive collections, enjoying juices from RAW Pressery and showing support to Mehr in this initiative to promote sustainable fashion, eco-friendly designers and weavers from in and outside India.
Speaking about the event, Rampal said, "I love the idea of sustaining sustainability, that Toile has. I want to be an active part in making people realise the importance of going eco-friendly in all aspects of life including fashion".
Farheen Rahman co-founder at Toile added "We believe in celebrating fashion with certain protocols that not only influences people to follow the sustainable clothing trend, but also focus on the dire need of maintaining the harmony of the world."
Priti Jain co-founder at Toile further said "We have a team that consists of more than 54 designers. As a multi-designer, eco-fashion store, we promise India's diverse culture through fair trade and sustainable fashion".
This travellers market was a one-of-a-kind event, curated by the founders of Toile, who aim to bring the best of sustainable fashion designers from in and outside India, all under one roof, over a span of 4 days.
The term Versatile Vasudha celebrates the versatility and vivacity of Mother Earth.
It's the first time in India for few of the international designers from The Designer Collective, Sri Lanka and even from Nepal. Toile wants to show the people that sustainable does not mean boring!
The designers that will be showcasing their new festive collection at the pop up are in a way or so affiliated with producing only sustainable and eco-friendly garments.
The event which is from 25th-28th of October, will feature fashion, jewellery and more sustainable lifestyle items.
