 VIJAYAWADA: Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) is all set to delight its citizens with the first-ever riverside food festival “Flavours of India” along the banks of River Krishna at Punnami Ghat in Bhavanipuram from April 15 to April 23.

Announcing this on Tuesday, VMC commissioner Swapnil Dinkar Pundkar said people of Vijayawada can enjoy the flavour of foods from various corners of India, including Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and Kerala, all in a pleasant ambience along the River Krishna.

There will be around 20 stalls, some of them set up by popular eateries in Vijayawada.

The commissioner said cultural events, including stand-up comedy, live music and dance programmes, will be part of the Flavours of India festival.

Actors of Jabardast Comedy will also entertain guests present at the festival.
