H1N1: Woman dies in Mysuru

District surveillance officer Dr Kusuma said that as many as 53 H1N1 positive cases have been reported in the district.

Mysuru: A thirty-three-year-old pregnant woman succumbed to H1N1 infection at a city hospital here on Tuesday. The deceased has been Roopa Devi, a native of Thoravalli in Nanjangud taluk, and she was three months pregnant. Roopa is wife of Gejendra the couple has a five-year-old son.

Confirming the death, district surveillance officer Dr Kusuma said that as many as 53 H1N1 positive cases have been reported in the district and there have been four deaths so far since January this year.
