Microneedling is a procedure that is packed with myriad benefits. It is most commonly used for treating acne scars, active acne, skin sag, stretch marks and in anti ageing procedures. Microneedling is combined with Hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm for collagen stimulation. But, while treating open pores, it is combined with botox. Microneedling takes this process of stimulation a few steps further and gives long lasting results. It is very simple, but a scientific method to stimulate and produce new collagen in the face and hands.
The procedure involves the use of tiny needles, which are rolled on the skin to create minimum, yet controlled injury. The body immediately responds by creating new tissue and contraction of the skin. This causes skin tightening and gives a beautiful glow to the skin. It can be done for superficial acne scars, wrinkles, dull skin and also for hair re-growth in the scalp.
Especially helpful for an immediate lift effect pre-event or pre- party, at least three - four days ahead.
The procedure is in clinic and takes 30 minutes, before which a numbing cream is applied.
Minimal downtime of one to five days, depending on the treatment intensity.
Ranges from Rs 8000 — Rs 12,000 per session, a course of three to six sessions is required.
Things to keep in mind before going in for the treatment:

- Based on treatment intensity, there can be microscabs on the skin for up to five days. This can be covered with make up if required, but if skin is prepped properly, then the healing is faster.
- Not all devices are same. So check with your doctor regarding insulated vs non insulated microneedles.
- The non-insulated ones deliver higher energy have better results.
- The procedure can be combined with fillers like juvederm for hydration and mostly importantly with PRP for growth factor stimulation.
