All-party meet to discuss steps to control Nipah virus

Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has called another all-party meet in the state capital on Monday to discuss the measures taken to contain deadly Nipah virus that claimed 17 lives in north Kerala. Last week a meeting was called in Kozhikode, the worst-hit district.
Authorities maintain that there is no need to panic even though the origin of Nipah has not been determined. They assured that the infection has been brought under control. No one examined in the second wave of the infection was detected with the viral infection.
