Telangana: 6 fresh cases; swine flu reported from 3 districts
The patients were admitted in private hospitals and their condition was stable as they had sought treatment in time, health officials said.
Hyderabad: Three new cases of swine flu from Ranga Reddy and one each from Medak and Karimnagar districts were confirmed on Thursday
The patients were admitted in private hospitals and their condition was stable as they had sought treatment in time, health officials said. Proflax medicines were being distributed to their families to protect them from the infection.
Health minister Dr C. Laxma Reddy reviewed the situation on Thursday and asked people not to panic but stay vigilant. Dr Reddy said, “Severe cases of swine flu are diagnosed in January and February due to the cold winds and the movement of the virus. In case of severe fever, headache and continuous pain in the body it is very important to approach the nearest healthcare and get proper diagnosis done.”
Swine flu tests are being done at Institute of Preventive Medicine for free and patients have been asked to not pay for the same. Two persons have died of swine flu this year, and the number of cases is at 32.
