AIG Hospitals and FICCI FLO Join Forces to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness
The significance of early screening for the treatment of breast cancer which is a highly treatable disease was emphasised
Hyderabad: AIG Hospitals has collaborated with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) Ladies Organisation (FLO) for a programme to raise awareness on breast cancer and the importance of early screening in women.
Addressing the forum at an event to launch the initiative, Dr D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals, said, "At AIG Hospitals, we have always been dedicated to providing world-class healthcare. Our partnership with Ficci FLO is an extension of that commitment.”
“By collaborating with an organisation of FLO's stature, we aim to reach a broader audience, creating a stronger, more informed community of women where health is given top priority," Dr Nageshwar Reddy said.
During the event, a panel discussion on breast cancer awareness was conducted with leaders from FLO and women doctors from the Institute of Oncology, AIG Hospitals.
During the discussion, Dr Pragnya Chirugupati, consultant breast cancer surgeon, AIG Hospitals, emphasised the significance of early screening for the treatment of breast cancer which was a highly treatable disease.
Ritu Shah, chairperson, Ficci FLO, commended the joint initiative, stating, "Diseases like breast cancer affect not just individuals but entire families and communities. FLO is honoured to partner with AIG Hospitals in this mission, and we are dedicated to ensuring that women across the country are well-informed about these diseases and understand the importance of early detection. We firmly believe that education is the first step towards saving lives."
