Things going wrong at the workplace can mean different things for different people, but in some professions accidents can lead to terrible consequences. People who were caught off guard at work have often ended up in difficult situations like a man who accidentally shot himself in the penis with a nail gun.

A 23-year-old welder from India narrowly avoided being blinded when his tool burst leaving him with a 3-cm-long wire hanging out of his eye. Luckily for him, the piece of metal missed the eye and got stuck in the skin above the corner of the eye.

It isn’t clear which instrument caused the injury and doctors who removed the wire said that he came to them for help two hours after the incident. Tests showed that he managed to retain normal, healthy eyesight.

The man was given antibiotics in order to avoid infections due to the sensitive location of the injury.
