1 Wake up at a fixed time- It’s the best way to get yourself to sleep at a regulated hour in adulthood. Good sleep is critical to hormonal heath.
2 Plan workouts a week in advance — Workout effectiveness is based on compliance. Just like the best way to pay taxes is to plan for them in advance, similarly, planning for workouts is the best way to get it done.
3 Include seasonal foods — Most of these are local, fallen out of favour as we are all eating more uniformly than diversely. Local food is a good way to consume more micronutrient rich food.
4 Walk for errands and stand up often — Sitting is the new smoking. I make a conscious effort to walk back from the gym or to a friend’s home, office etc to make more room for activity in daily life.
5 Sing in the bathroom- People who sing when alone are happy and also fearless about hearing their own inner voice. And health and happiness is beyond the number on the scale.
