Sticking to variety!
Actress Shruthi Hariharan lets us in on her personal fitness mantra.
1Yoga and functional training have become a part of my daily fitness routine. I keep changing my exercise regime every six months — and rotate it with dance classes, zumba or body combat. It stops me from getting stuck in a workout rut and makes exercising more fun!
2 I eat six small meals during short intervals. My daily diet is a combinations of fruits and lots of leafy vegetables. I begin my day with warm water mixed with lemon and honey. I also ensure I glug down at least a glass of fresh homemade vegetable juice, when I’m not shooting.
3 My mantra for hydration? A glass of coconut water and five liters of water, no matter what!
4 Personally, I’m not a fried food junkie — It doesn’t take me a lot to avoid fries and coke. I also often Google up to check what are the foods one must avoid as per blood group. And stick to it.
5 Meditation and pranayama are supposed to do wonders to one’s state of mind. I make time for it even if it is for five minutes. This really helps boost my concentration and mental stability in general. And yes, I also smile often to exercise my facial muscles and radiate positivity around!
