Doctors in Mumbai remove biggest brain tumour weighing 1.9 kg

31-year-old Santlal Pal was going through an ordeal inflicted by a 1.9 kg tumour in his brain that left him blind. But doctors at a Mumbai hospital successfully removed the huge mass following surgery which lasted for around seven hours.
They are claiming that this is the biggest brain tumour removed as the one before this weighed 1.4 kg. Pal lost his vision after complaining of swelling in the scalp and headaches.
The tumour had in the brain on both sides of the midline through the skull. Pal required 11 units of blood and had to spend three days on life support after the procedure.
