In a shocking incident from Mexico, a worm in the eye caused a teenage boy to go blind. The parasite can be seen wriggling in the boy’s eyeball after invading his eye in a revolting footage.
Doctors had to remove the eye’s lens to get to the worm but it had caused permanent damage by leaving holes in the retina and iris. It had been inside for three weeks and caused excruciating pain along with problems with sight.
While the worm can enter the body through consumption of uncooked fish, doctors can’t figure out how it got into the boy’s eye.
