Survey finds women more satisfied with their lives than men
The goal of this study is to understand the state of Britain's well-being.
Women are happier and more satisfied with their lives, finds UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS) that has been taking happiness measurements for six years, the Daily Mail reported.
Their figures also found men are more anxious. The goal of this study is to understand the state of Britain's well-being.
Four questions were asked to 300,000 people in the ONS Annual Population Survey:
* Are you happy?
* Is your life worthwhile?
* Are you satisfied with your life?
* How anxious did you feel the day before the participating in the survey?
"Figures suggest women are taking more satisfaction from the recovery of the economy after years of recession," the report revealed.
Economic improvements in 2017 was linked to the general rise in happiness. However, why women are happier is not yet known.
Interestingly, well-being improvements were primarily detected in England. The change was not so drastic in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
"Over time, women have consistently reported higher levels of life satisfaction and worthwhile every year, but have also reported higher levels of anxiety since we first began collecting data in 2011," the ONS reported stated, according to the Daily Mail report.
