True dedication and passion for your work is what mattered most to Jyotsna Pattabiraman, when she plunged into entrepreneurship after a successful corporate stint.

This Bengaluru-based girl gives tailored health strategies for physical and mental health through the Grow Fit app for weight management and Grow Self for mental health. We catch up with the founder of a mobile health companion who uses artificial intelligence to help millions of Indians achieve peak wellness.

The turning point states the graduate from BMS and Stanford University was not immediate, but a series of them. “I was eating healthy and exercising but not losing weight and when I was pregnant, I was diagnosed with diabetes. Before I began this plan for myself, my blood sugar was in the diabetic range and in two months my blood sugar came down drastically. Dramatic results have been noticed by the users on the lean mission diet where they get roti mix made from amaranth and quinoa with proteins added to the atta, grain free pizza base etc,” states the lady who likes to shake things up and build new ones, of her ‘Grow’th story.

The mobile maven spent her career on the frontlines of Internet businesses in companies like Oracle, eBay and Yahoo and is the founder and leader of the Southern Chapter of Stanford OVAL and also a convener of the Ivy Club. When she’s not at her work desk, Jyotsna is an active participant and speaker at mobile events across India.

“I’m a voracious reader and volunteer a lot and I’m the community manager on the Stanford alumni board. I also volunteer for all the Ivy League graduates and recently organised an event for them,” revels the busy bee.

Lot of people have achieved their goals and there are over a lakh people who have already installed the Grow app. They also get customised meal and fitness plans through a diet support whatsapp group. Too many people are suffering from lifestyle diseases at young age these days.

“People can also buy these organic ingredients from anywhere in India from the online store, besides healthy food or healthy ingredients in small packs for everyday breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can connect with registered dieticians like Dr. Vinay Bhardwaj, MD, University of Colorado and nutritionist Lalitha Subramaniam and others who understand how to drive the change in health, besides the cosmetic changes. There are many inspiring stories of people who were suffering from lifestyle diseases now running full marathons etc in Bengaluru and even smaller cities across India,” says Jyotsna who left a high-flung corporate job to follow her heart
