Air hostess finally adopts dog who waited six months outside a hotel for her
Each time she visited Buenos Aires he would be waiting for her, eager for walks and treats.
Berlin: Most flight attendants have a tale to tell of long-distance relationships, but this one has a happy ending that's enchanted legions of social media users worldwide.
It all began in February, when Lufthansa employee Olivia Sievers flew to Argentina and encountered a stray dog outside her hotel.
Each time she visited Buenos Aires he would be waiting for her, eager for walks and treats. Sievers said today that her four-legged fan was probably "looking for a human friend."
His dogged persistence paid off last month and Sievers flew the dog named Rubio, Spanish for blond home to Germany.
The long-time animal rights activist say she's overwhelmed by the online response to her story and hopes it will encourage others to consider adopting dogs from sanctuaries.
