BENGALURU: Over 2000 students participated in the Green Ganesha workshop organised by B.PAC on Monday. B.PAC has been conducting such workshops across the city and has already covered seven BBMP wards.
On Monday, the workshop was held at Government Schools in Vijaynagar, K.R. Puram and J.P. Nagar, where over 2,000 students took part and made their own clay Ganesha idols.
“Seeds were placed in all the clay Ganeshas made. The idea is to immerse the Ganesha idols in pots at homes and the melted Ganesha will help the seed grow,” said BPAC organiser Raghavendra.
He said that when children are involved in such initiatives, it reaches every single family and will help in conserving the environment, which has suffered because of the onslaught of Ganeshas made of Plaster of Paris.
