Hyderabad: The State Board for Wildlife on Saturday approved construction of six multi-level flyovers around KBR Park as part of the Strategic Road Development Programme. The project had been slowed down with environmental activists approaching courts and the National Green Tribunal.
The approval given by the wildlife board at a meeting chaired by forest minister Jogu Ramanna would pave the way for clearing these hurdles.
The decision will now be referred to the National Board for Wildlife, which is expected to meet next week, for final approval. Once approved, the state government can go ahead with the construction of the flyovers.
