Hyderabad: 9 stray dogs caught around Westin Hotel

Teams have been deployed in all hotels booked for the GES delegates, including the Trident and Novotel.

Hyderabad: The special dog squad deployed at Raheja IT Park caught nine stray dogs in and around the Westin Hotel where the US President’s daughter Ivanka Trump will be staying during her visit to the city for the GES. Teams have been deployed in all hotels booked for the GES delegates, including the Trident and Novotel. The areas in and around the venue of the summit, HICC, have been cleared of stray animals.

Hari Chandana Dasari, West Zone Municipal Commssioner said, “Raheja IT Park has a separate stray dog catching unit, while the operation is jointly being conducted by TS industries department and GHMC. These dogs will be rehabilitated in the  animal birth control centres and released into the same area, post-sterilisation.”

With regard to sanitation, the GHMC has deployed a team every 100 metres along the 15 km route that leads to HICC and Raheja IT Park. The west zone is under tight sanitation vigil. Also, the same has been deployed on the route leading to Taj Falaknuma, where the dignitaries are scheduled to have dinner on November 28. The other last-minute arrangements include rainbow and focus light places at major junctions and trees. Symbols of over 30 currencies have been placed on the Gachibowli to Miyapur route, while the pillars of Mini Charminar — Hitec  have been given a Deccani painting quote.
