Railway Hospital Holds World Tumour Awareness Day

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Divisional Railway Hospital organised the World Tumour Awareness Day on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, hospital’s chief medical superintendent Dr. M. Sowri Bala said nutrition and lifestyle modification play an important role in preventing tumours among humans.

Dr. M. Jaideep of the hospital briefed the gathering about how Alzheimer’s and brain tumours affect the community.

Radiation oncologist Dr. Sai Snehit encouraged everyone to undergo regular health check-ups for early detection of tumours.

Physician Dr. Haseena Begum made a PowerPoint presentation on Alzheimer’s disease and modalities of its treatment.
