Virat Kohli's One8Commune, Hyderabad's newest culinary sensation

I was enchanted by the European inspired charm as I stepped in. The interiors designed in bohemian style throw a warm embrace. The relaxed vibe makes you forget the hustle and bustle outside. The furniture too is in earthy tones enhancing the overall look of the place. There is a place for two with high-rise chairs while groups could always choose tables in cozy corners. The hanging lights and fans in muted hues not to mention the small decorative lamps placed in a few corners takes the style up a notch. There are several instagrammable places inside the restaurant, beginning with Virat Kohli’s signed blue jersey to a neon board with his autographed signature. These two places are often crowded as people are waiting in queues to click pictures here. The place is also dotted with green which adds color to the place.

Highly recommended by Chef Agnibh Mudi, we started off with one of Virat’s favourites—purple hued Mushroom Googly Dim Sums with cream cheese and dash of truffle oil and Beetroot Galouti kebab, both of which were melt-in-the-mouth. My dining companion tried the black chicken and lemon crispy prawns, which she said were succulent. One8commune offers some signature cocktails to wash them down with. But I opted for a summer mocktail, which was truly refreshing. While the starters were filling enough, we still made some space for the main course. The Jasmine rice with hot garlic tofu was impressive. The showstopper definitely was the ferrero rocher chocolate dessert. Those who love coconut milk could also try mango Tres Leches.

One8Commune Hyderabad is the chicest place in town to hang out with friends and family. The feel at home ambience with an old-world charm. The electric menu with innovative food options will leave you spoilt for choice.

The buzz around the place is understandable given Kohli’s popularity, what was not anticipated is the long waiting list and packed tables given the fact that One8Commune is barely a few days old in the city.
