Mum of six boys & a girl throws surprise party to reveal news of number eight

Cher Lair's reaction to being pregnant with a girl after having six boys made her an internet sensation.

The boys at first were "dreading" meeting their sister, People magazine reported. But ever since baby Ruby arrived they simply adore her.

Now, almost two years later, Cher and her husband Stephen had another announcement to make. They were expecting again. This time the boys were hoping it was going to be another girl. People reported the Lair boys even had baby names picked out and they were all girls.

The North Carolina mum and her husband decided to have a gender reveal during a Super Bowl party for their children. A friend who already knew the gender bought silly strings for the children. When the countdown was over there was blue silly string on everything and the couple.

Cher told People she was thrilled to be welcoming another boy.  In June the Lair family finally welcome their 10th addition.
