SeaWorld, Warner Bros. World Remain Crowd Favourites in Abu Dhabi
Hyderabad: Abu Dhabi remains a favourite tourist spot despite its humid conditions thanks to installations, including parks and aquariums, that remain a draw to outsiders. Among these are Yas Island, which has multiple theme parks, including the renowned SeaWorld and Warner Bros World that capture the imagination of the young and old alive by bringing people closer to aquatic life and creating a frenzied atmosphere through fictional characters, respectively.
A sprawling underwater marine wonderland, the facility offers a plethora of entertainment, education and information for visitors to learn about animals extending from the North Pole to the tropics and the South Pole.
Providing an experience of being in an underwater world, the park provides a close-up experience of eight oceanic realms — Abu Dhabi Ocean, One Ocean, Antarctica, Arctic, Endless Ocean, Rocky Point, Tropical Ocean, and Micro Ocean — by showing various marine lifeforms at various geographies on the earth. This includes seals, sea lions, sea otters, walruses, dolphins, penguins and flamingos, besides several tropical birds.
It is a rare experience for visitors to observe marine life in their aquatic domain, as the creatures can be observed sailing in the water, playing at designated bays and resting on rocks.
The park also offers a 20-minute interactive dolphin show, where the dolphins dance to the tunes of drums and flutes, while the show also gives a chance to kids to interact with the dolphins. The park has feeding and encounter points, where one can feed a walrus or get up close to sea lions and seals.
Moving from rare lifeforms to a fictional world, this park is a multiverse of cartoons, characters, superheroes, candies, rides, roller coasters and picturesque settings that are only viewed on televisions or at movies.
The Warner Bros World is divided into six themed lands — Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, Cartoon Junction, Gotham City and Metropolis — providing an immersive experience of watching cartoons and DC Comics movies.
The Bedrock takes one back in time to the Stone Age with the Flintstones and The Rubbles, including Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Barney, Betty and Bamm Bamm, all classic cartoon characters.
The Cartoon Junction is the most entertaining area of the park, as it hosts iconic characters like Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo, Tweety, Acme Factory and more. Visitors can not only meet their favourite cartoon characters but also take selfies with them.
Gotham City, as the name suggests, is a setting that gives one a spooky and dark feel to the comic character Batman’s adventures.
The Metropolis, meanwhile, gives a majestic view of the exceptional architecture, housing characters from DC Comics of Justice League — Batman, Wonder Woman and Super Man.
The dining experience with cartoon characters adds a nostalgic feel to the visit.
In addition, shopping outlets inside the studio provide a plethora of memorabilia, ranging from cartoon-themed unique souvenirs, gifts, animated toys and costumes. The aroma of fresh popcorn and the sweetness of ice cream linger on.
