Vacations play a crucial role in creating work-life balance as it re-energises people to be more focused at work and nearly 95 per cent of Indians agree to this in the survey.

A research commissioned by Grace Say Aloe ( a brand of popular aloe-vera drink) now claims that losing one’s sense of humour and binging on comfort food or even being unable to sleep at night are sure shot signs that one needs a holiday.

The study goes on to add that becoming irritated and getting more angry than usual when help up in a queue, or losing temper with colleagues or clients at work and hitting the snooze button more than usual are also tell-tale signs.

Apart from that the study finds that forgetting names of people one knows well, misplacing keys and missing a loved one’s birthdays are also signs that a vacation is much needed.

Interestingly, the study shows getting fed up with friend’s holiday pictures being plastered all over social media is another indicator that it’s time for a holiday.

According to the study, an adult individual, needs four breaks during a typical year.

The study shows the average person typically starts to need another holiday just 42 days after returning from a break away.

It is during this point that symptoms start showing that include swearing more often, keeping houses messy, being unable to get out of bed etc.

Eight in 10 people say they need regular breaks in order to stay happy, healthy and positive.

The study also found that money is the biggest reason people do not book more breaks followed by office workload.
