Tour places while looking beautiful

At any point of time, there are at least a thousand people packing their bags, all set to take off to lands yonder. During long holidays, it can be quite challenging to keep up with our regular skin care rituals or healthy eating habits. And the result: sunburn, flaky/dry skin, breakouts and what not! If you find yourself with any of these, there are several steps one can follow to prepare in advance as well as fix the problem post travel. Bhavya Chawla, Chief Stylist, Voonik, shares these healthcare tips.
We all know this, but there are several things that slip our minds while preparing for a trip. Let’s face it. Sunscreen and cleanser are just not enough to take you through your entire trip and it is very tempting to switch your face scrub with that back-up bikini! Stock up on travel size variants of your favourite skincare products. If you don’t find smaller sizes, fill reusable bottles with the necessary products.
Keep in mind the climate of the place you will be going to. Make sure you spend some time researching the weather and choose products accordingly. If you are going to a humid place, pack blotting wipes, smoothing serum for hair and so on. Similarly, if it is a cold-dry place you are going, make sure to pack appropriate moisturising products for skin as well as hair.
While you travel, it is best to stick to your actual routine as much as possible:
Eat healthy: Include as much greens and fruits in your diet. If you have had a heavy breakfast and lunch, make sure you give your body enough time to process it all by going light in the evening.
Hydrate: Keep drinking loads of water through the day. If it is not possible, make sure you compensate before and after at the hotel or where you stay. Drinking plenty of water can make sure at least 50 per cent of skin care is managed while you travel.
Once you are back, be sure to give yourself a break and get some much-needed sleep. Then, take time out to restore.
