Travel bucket list 2017
Take it from the influential in Chennai, next year will be packed with adventure and travel!
The beginning of the New Year is the perfect time to dream about new places to see, new cultures to experience and new people to meet. The who’s who of the city tell us what their travel bucketlist for 2017 looks like — and what attracted them to the destinations they would like to visit.
I’ve been planning to go to Kasol for quite some time now and would love to make a trip there in the new year. I just want to spend some peaceful time there, relax by the river and lie under the stars. Outside the country, I’d like to visit Bali. Since it is rich in nature, I’d be able to shoot more landscapes and portraits of the people and culture.
New Zealand is definitely in my go-to list for 2017. Apart from its scenic locales and wonderful cities, the thing which impresses me the most, when it comes to adventure activities is sky diving. Since I have skydiving in my bucket list, I can’t think of any other place than New Zealand to try it out!
One of the places I really want to visit this year is Tel Aviv in Israel. Not only is the architecture and ambience there beautiful, it has a lot of religious significance, since Jerusalem is close by. Also, it’s supposed to be one of the biggest party destinations in the world.
Prague is one place I’m raring to go to and I hope it happens next year. Being musically inclined, I would like to visit their symphony orchestra and if all goes well, I would even like to record a song there!
I never like to plan a few months in advance — I’m a very spontaneous, last-minute person. But if I were to choose a few places to go to and check off my list next year, they would have to be Greece, Barcelona and Brazil. I look for cities that are lively and never sleep because I’m an extremely energetic person. I want to take some time off to travel next year for sure.
It’s been a long term dream of mine to visit Italy and Rome so I hope to visit them in the coming year. Another place I would love to go to is Myanmar for their hot air balloon rides and view the pagodas from up in the sky. I generally like to visit places that are offbeat and different from my day-to-day routine — somewhere where I can feel like the foreigner.
