Most couples who decide to get married meet each other’s parents and family before the big day. However, a Chinese bride was recently shocked when she met the parents and guests from the groom’s side because they were not really his real parents.

According to a media report, a Chinese couple in Xi’an recently had the most unusual reception when the bride met the groom’s family. She got to know that all of the bridegroom’s family and friends were hired people and not really his own family. The reason for hire is nothing we haven’t heard before but yet surprising – the groom’s family did not agree with the marriage and so had decided to skip it.

The bride Xiao Liu found out that the guests which were over 200 were cab drivers and broke college students who were paid between 9 – 11 pounds to act like his friends. She didn’t have the slightest of doubt because they had been dating for the past three years and had a different group of friends that hardly met. The dejected bride called the police and they are currently probing into the matter.
