Video: News anchor tries to kiss colleague on live TV, gets brutally rejected
Perhaps this will serve as a good warning for people who think that unwanted gestures of affection are okay.
There are few things that can be more painfully awkward than going in for a kiss and then getting rejected. Now just imagine that happening to you on live TV. When Australian sports reporter Tony ‘Chompers’ Jones decided to bid farewell to weather reporter Rebecca Judd before she set off on maternity leave, nobody would have been expecting a social faux pas of this kind to be broadcasted to the world.
The video shows that although at first Jones was just discussing football with his colleagues, he gradually slides his arm around his female co-worker. And then suddenly after Judd stopped speaking, he tries to plant a kiss on her cheek but fails – embarrassingly.
