‘Second Innings’ in Life!
Through his new show author and midlife coach Vaibhav Datar is teaching people how to live the second part of their lives to the fullest.
Everyone likes a success story. And, more so, when it’s theirs. Similarly, best-selling author and midlife coach Vaibhav Datar’s tale is one that ought to be told and he believes that the path chose him at a crucial juncture in his life. Well, there was no looking back ever since. Aside from an upcoming book titled The Maven Style in the pipeline, Vaibhav is all set to be featured as a leading expert on a TV show called Second Innings.
“The show primarily focuses upon the challenges being faced by soon to be retiring or retired people, who want to start their second innings journey,” begins Vaibhav, who was introduced to life coaching through one of his friends. “I thought this is it. Coaching was exactly what I wanted to do. Through coaching, I could not only meet and greet new people, but I could also really make a valuable difference in their lives. I could bring smiles, uncover fresh perspectives and hence I thought of giving it a shot. Thankfully, it turned out to be a wise decision and today I am, happy to have coached more than 250+ people in the last seven years,” he avers.
The best-selling author of a book, Simplify Your Life, believes that A-ha moments, moments of realisation inspire him the most. “When I coach people, the joy they receive post my session is what keeps me going. I feel connected to humanity. I feel there is so much to do and achieve in our lifetime.” Taking us through a daily day in his life, he says, “My day starts at 4:30 am. After an hour’s meditation, consisting of visualisation, deep sleep and forgiveness, I feel fresh and ready for the day. My morning routine consists of a mix of Pranayama, Surya Namaskars, yoga, running and few tabatas. My idea is simple, if I am able to exercise my physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and intellectual bodies daily, then I would remain fit and healthy.”
Currently planning for his next offering The Maven Style which is slated to be launched in September in Bengaluru, Vaibhav concludes, “I have fantastic memories in Bengaluru. Right from when I was working as an IT professional. I’ve also been conducting several workshops in Bengaluru for working professionals and it’s always given me a great response. The city folks are cool when it comes to supporting new ideas and ventures. So, what better than launching my book for working professionals than at the Mecca of the IT industry. I think the book will be welcomed with an open heart.”
