A video of a man throwing a dog from the terrace of a residential complex had gone viral in the Facebook and a city dweller preferred a complaint with the city police to trace the culprit, on Monday evening.

The video is believed to have originated from the message sharing platform, whatsApp and was eventually uploaded in FB by animal activists. The video, which runs in slow motion, features a man holding a dog by its neck and back on the parapet wall of his terrace.

After sporting a smile into the camera, the man drops the dog down and the camera follows the dog, which falls down crying out in pain and the video ends with the dog lying still on the ground.

Sally Kannan, Outreach Consultant at Humane Society International, posted the video, “offering a reward of 100,000 Rs to anyone who is willing to volunteer valid information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this evil.”

The post read:

Look at what this filthy and miserable excuse of a human being does to the poor doggy who keeps wagging her tail until the last moment… She kept trusting the asshole even when his dirty mind was planning the worst for her.
Please share and help trace this @#$€£¥? . This is definitely in India and I am sure someone or the other can finally recognize the man in it. Any information regarding this video and the person in it will be rewarded monetarily.
The cyber crime cell in Chennai is currently investigating the case.

Though there is nothing to point when and where this video was shot, the face of the man appearing is clear. The video starts with a warning, which says that it contains graphic content that can shock, offend, and upset the viewer.
Antony Clement Rubin, who had shared this video, had lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime unit of the City Police.
