Second edition of Kerala Literature Festival concludes

Over 300 writers, thinkers and cultural activists, attended it along with a large number of the members of the public.

KOZHIKODE: The second edition of  Kerala Literature Festival concluded at the Kozhikode beach on Sunday after four days of fruitful discussions  and cultural events.  Over 300 writers, thinkers   and cultural activists,  including  those from abroad,  attended it along with a large number of the members of the public. “The strong support from the public  made it  a success  for the second consecutive year.  This was lauded by many eminent persons also,”  said KLF general convener A.K. Abdul Hakeem. “We had selected diverse topics for discussions which played a crucial role in making it a popular event,” he added.

“Compared to the last edition, the KLF this time offered a good number of current subjects  touching the common man,” opined Sreekala Prakash,  assistant professor at Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology, Kozhikode, who was a participant. Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran inaugurated the valedictory function.  Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran distributed the prizes for the winners of students’ literature quiz and  the media awards. The next edition of the programme will be held here from February 7 to 10, 2018.
