Watch: Indian man with 62-foot-long dreadlock can use it like a rope
The 60-year-old man is intending to apply for holding the record for the world's longest hair.
A 60-year-old man in India has such a long dreadlock that he can easily coil it around his body like a rope. Savjibhai Rathwa takes care to maintain his 62-foot-long dreadlock by eating a strictly vegetarian diet and washing his hair for three hours every second day.
A video shows Rathwa walking around his village with his dreadlock coiled around his arm. In fact, his dreadlock is so long that he is even able to tie it around his head like a makeshift turban and thread it through his roof. “When out on work, I survive on fruits only. I never ever take outside food,” he says.
The grandfather of several children shares that he intends to try out his luck to gain a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world’s longest hair. Reportedly, a local non-profit organisation has agreed to help him in the application process.
