Watch: Sikh man removes turban to save drowning dog
As the man couldn't swim, he quickly unravelled his turban and used it as a line for the dog to grab on to.
Just when you thought that there’s no hope for humanity, the news about a 28-year-old man willing to abandon religious protocol to save an animal’s life provides a ray of hope. Sarwan Singh, who is a resident of Punjab, did not think twice before using his turban to rescue a dog from drowning in an irrigation canal.
A video of the incident shows Singh climb down the banks of the canal in order to save the puppy. He decided to help the poor animal after noticing that no one was doing anything. As Singh couldn’t swim, he quickly unravelled his turban and used it as a line for the dog to grab on to.
Fortunately, the dog survived without any injuries. “The dog was frightened, so I fed him some biscuits and let him go on his own,” Singh told the Daily Mail.
