Aishwariya Rai Bachchan's Disney themed gown at the Cannes Film Festival this year was the most trolled on social media.

Social media can turn into a brutal platform for trolling when people play the fashion police on celeb makeovers and fashion. Believe it or not, the A-listers haven’t had it easy when it comes to online trolling; they haven’t had the best of makeovers or the best of fashion at times. It’s a gamble at almost all the times and one can never expect to impress everyone. But sometimes these makeovers can go completely wrong making them the butt of all jokes. In the recent India-Pakistan match, something apart from the match seemed to be catching a lot of attention. And in no time twitter splits with memes and trolls on cricketer Imad Wasim’s new hairdo. From comparing it to Anjali’s hair from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Radhey from Tere Naam, social media had a field day.

A lot of celebrities from B-town have also faced such situations be it a new plastic surgery or a fancy red carpet look. Aishwariya Rai Bachchan’s Disney themed gown at the Cannes Film Festival this year was the most trolled on social media. Several memes compared it to a merry go round and an orange juicer. Ayesha Takia recently had a lip surgery and soon the pictures went viral on social media where people trolled her on her new look with enlarged lips. Ranveer Singh’s fashion fetches him a lot of attention on Twitter. His appearance at Shahid Kapoor’s Birthday bash was trolled and compared to condoms, plastics bags, laminated things and even sperm.

International artists have always been experimenting with new looks from a wacky hairdos to meat dresses. Rapper Kanye West apparently added a little pink and yellow to his hair and got compared to a strawberry-banana sorbet. Recently, actress Chrissy Metz was trolled for wearing a maroon latex dress to the 2017 MTV music awards. Social media couldn’t stop trolling Miley Cyrus with ‘Miley what’s good?’ comments whereas Lady Gaga took Internet by storm with her meat dress. Indian designer Manoviraj Khosla says “Its always good to reinvent yourself as long as the makeover is something that goes with your personality. The trolls come in when you can’t carry your style and make a fool of yourself. Everyone from celebs to normal people want something new to experiment with and there is nothing wrong as long as it blends with your personality.”
