Video: Swachh Bharat campaign ad explains why cleanliness is next to godliness

Maintaining cleanliness – both on a personal and an environmental level – has been a deeply rooted part of our cultural and spiritual tradition. Sadly, the present-day consumerist society thinks little about the adverse impact of not taking good care of our surroundings. Perhaps this is why the makers of the latest Swachh Bharat campaign advertisement choose to impart a valuable civic lesson with a divine twist!

It is believed that the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, Lakshmi, likes to stay in places that are neat and clean. The campaign video stresses that devotees who desire to seek her blessings should not invite her wrath by dirtying their surroundings.

The video features the reigning queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut and other celebrities like Isha Kopikar, Omkar Kapoor, Ravi Kishan along with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan giving the voice-over.
