Talk of the power corridors
Jayasudha talked about inviting Nirmala Seetharaman for Nihar’s wedding in Delhi on February 26.
Popular South Indian actress Jayasudha Kapoor and her son Shreyan Kapoor recently met Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman in Delhi. But squashing any talks of a political motive right away, we’re told this was a rather personal visit.
Jayausudha’s elder son Nihar Kapoor is getting married in February next year, and Jayasudha met the minister to invite her to the function. Jayasudha’s younger son, Shreyan Kapoor, was a student of Pranava School in Hyderabad, which is founded by Nirmala Seetharaman.
Going back in time
“I’ve not seen a woman as down to earth as Nirmala Seetharaman, and that even when she holds one of the highest positions in the government,” says Jayasudha, who’d met Nirmala Seetharaman a couple of times long ago when she’d visited the school for her son.
Claiming the minister not to have changed much, Jayasudha talks of how she still remembers her old students and enquires after them. Nirmala Seetharaman asked about not only Jayasudha’s son but also Jayasudha, asking what other than her vocation of acting she was currently into. “I told her about my Jayasudha Sarees,” says Jayasudha.
Jayasudha then talked about inviting Nirmala Seetharaman for Nihar’s wedding in Delhi on February 26. Nihar is set to marry a Delhi-based girl called Amrit Kaur, who works as a marketing executive.
