The Icelandic Phallological Museum in the Icelandic town of Reykjavik has a mind-boggling collection of penises across several species.
What started off as a ‘joke’ sixty years ago has now resulted in what could probably be the only museum in the world of its kind – a museum of penises. The Icelandic Phallological Museum in the Icelandic town of Reykjavik has a mind-boggling collection of penises across several species.
The museum’s creator, 72-year-old Sigurour Hjartarson, reveals that he received the first specimen to his now massive penis collection when he was just a young boy! It was a bull’s penis which was used as a whip for the farm’s cows. Later some of his friends started bring to him penises from a whaling station nearby, says Hjartarson when describing the museum’s incredible journey.
The Icelandic Phallological Museum currently boasts of more than 300 specimens of penises and penile parts from more than 93 different animals. This penis museum’s diverse collection includes varying sizes of the male organ – right from a 2-millimeter penis of a hamster to a 6-foot rod of a whale.
