Hack' this TECH whiz's code
This teen founder of a tech blog, simplifies terms and concepts in a reader-friendly manner.
This youngster from Chennai is truly a whiz kid. At 18, Abishiekh Jain is the founder of a blog called Hackers Den and the co-founder of a blogging event called Speak Out. He has evolved from a youngster who detested technology to now making money out of it.
His entire journey with technology started with an insult. “I was a complete nerd till the sixth grade. During a group discussion with friends, the topic of computers and hacking came up. One friend started boasting that he knew how to hack accounts and mentioned that he would hack my Facebook account and send lewd messages to girls. This really scared me. But fortunately nothing happened as he felt some pity for me. My female friends then told me that I was better off with my books rather than hanging out with them. I considered this as a big insult. It was then that I decided to study about technology,” says Jain.
Like every tech-savvy guy, Abishiekh started with hacking. Considering his friend to be his biggest inspiration to start Hackers Den, he adds, “I was 14 when I started Hackers Den. This blog serves the purpose of explaining the difficult concepts of technology in simple English, be it to a 11-year-old or a 60-year-old.” Initially, the response was not great. “This was because there were already many blogs on the web. But it improved only when I started attending events and helping people on various forums,” he adds.
Abishiekh is also the co-founder of a blogging event — Speak Out — that will take place in Bengaluru next year. He adds, “We started
Speak Out in Chennai last year. We cover topics like blogging, digital marketing and other aspects related to this field. “
For someone who is only 18, this youngster keeps himself busy. Abishiekh has also written a book on motivation. On the book, he reveals, “This book is all about motivation. It tells you how to go from zero to one as 100 is quite far. Many chapters deal with things that one undergoes in everyday life.”
He is also writing a script for a web series which has been a dream for him. He says that this series will show us the dark side of entrepreneurship. Abishiekh adds, “I often get asked how I have managed to do so much in so little time. My only answer would be that whatever I do is spontaneous. If I get an idea, I work on it immediately.”
Abishiekh is planning to get into artificial intelligence and will collaborate with a person from Mumbai for this venture.
