NASA spacecraft captures Earth-Moon image from nearly 63 million kilometers away
The Osiris-Rex spacecraft just happened to capture this stunning sight on its way to investigate a nearby asteroid.
A NASA spacecraft captures the most spectacular photo from way out of space.
On its way to investigate a nearby asteroid, the Osiris-Rex captured a photo of the Earth and moon from exactly 63.6 million kilometers away.
The stunning image show the Earth shining bright with the tiny moon by its side. Our home and its natural satellite are the only two spot in the black sky.
A long, long way from home... During an engineering test last month, my NavCam1 camera captured this image of Earth and the Moon from a distance of 63.6 million kilometers (39.5 million miles). ðŸŒðŸŒ•

Osiris is headed to collect samples from an asteroid named Bennu. It will then return to Earth so researchers can study its findings.
