Forget selfies, 'chinning' is the new trend on Instagram
Find out how it got started.
Michelle Liu is travelling around the world taking in the sites and beautiful scenery.
But she’s not documenting her journey with a selfie, that's so passé. She's all about the chinfies which are chin photos.
When she spots a scene she likes, Liu throws her head back and gets the shot with her chin.
She calls this style of photo taking 'chinning'.
"My chinning entertained my friends all through middle school, high school and college, at which point I decided to share my chin with the world," Liu told the Mic.
"Strangers always notice me chinning,” she told the Mic. Adding, “Some appear shocked, others confused, but across the board from my experience, they are usually entertained."
Liu has gained a massive following on Instagram, close to 16,000 to be exact and users of the social media site can’t get enough of it.
Since its bringing joy to so many, we say chin away.
