The city is on a talent hunt...
The first edition of Talent of Chennai' is set to identify budding talents from different fields of entertainment.
In today’s fast paced world that we live in, our talents become rusty as we grow up and in the worst case scenarios, they just die-off. The lack of opportunity to display and nurture one’s talent acts as a catalyst for this process. The first edition of ‘Talent of Chennai’ aims to oppose this process and discover extraordinary talents from in and around Chennai. The unique contest, organised by Iris Events and Arknemesis Gaming, along with Ispahani Centre, is for students and working professionals aged between 14 and 30 years.
The objective of the event is to identify and showcase extraordinary talent among the youth in categories like singing, dancing, beat boxing, stand-up comedy, rap, acting, art, magic and much more. The show boasts of judges from various fields — actor-cum-singer Bharath Kalyan, actor Sanjay Kumar Asrani, pop singer Antony Kevin and dance choreographer Nanda Kishore in the mix along with others.
“The event will identify at least 1,500 new talents in Chennai and this will be an excellent platform to showcase their talent,” shares actor, Ajmal Amir while talking about the event. Interested participants can walk into Arknemesis Gaming at Ispahani Centre to enroll for the contest.
“Proceeds generated from this event go to Ark India Service Society, a government recognised group of social workers, striving to bring healthcare to underprivileged children in the outskirts of Chennai,” reveals, Latha Krishna, one of the organisers.
The final shot at the walk in auditions is on December 16. With exciting prizes to be won, the selected contestants will move onto the grand finale that will be held on December 25.
